More Market pics

Time is flying by so quickly. Market prep takes so much time then all of a sudden it's over and I have to get back to real life. Oh and it's the end of the school year for my kids so there's plenty going on with that. Memorial day was yesterday? Holy cow!
So I've been back from Pittsburgh for over a week now...I think it's time to post more about market.

I'm not sure if I mentioned (and I'm too lazy to look at past posts) but I had 2 booths at market. One to showcase Rustique and another to show all the new Crazy Old Ladies patterns. Next week I'll be listing them in my shop so I'll post a bit about each more then.

I couldn't have done market with my pal Natalie from Natalie Ever After. She's designer a few patterns for Crazy Old Ladies and this was her first market. She took care of business over in the COL booth while I stayed in Rustique. She did a fabulous job standing all day and laughing all night. We had so much fun!

Michael Miller Fabrics did not disappoint. They had a french garden theme complete with a gorgeous fountain!

It was beautiful!

I'm not sure how I didn't get a pic with the water flowing but it was a sight to see!

I love this pic of Harvey taken through the blossoms. :o)

The vignettes in the corner always have to much to look at

And the display along the back wall showed off the new "Houndstooth and Friends" collection

Along with my Preppy Pups quilt.

Patty Sloniger's new collection Emma's Garden has some gorgeous colors and prints.

I love all the details and inspiration.

Violet Craft's new collection Brambleberry Ridge also features deer! (Great minds think alike)

The colors are soft and pretty with touches of gold. And check out her paper pieced patterns!!!

Of course market isn't complete with a  little ham from Rob Appell.
Loving his Color Strata quilts.

Now you can feel like you were hanging out with us in Pittsburgh.

I'm off to Yellowstone- See you next week!

RUSTIQUE!

I'm sure you're already seeing pics of Quilt Market all over the interwebs and I have some to show too. But first and foremost I want to show you my booth where I debuted my latest collection with Michael Miller Fabics- RUSTIQUE

My booth came together in a fantastic way. I had a few hiccups along the way but miraculously I think the end result is much better then what I had imagined.

The show stopper was Harvey. I bought an archery target at a sporting goods store and decoupaged him with scraps of fabric. Everyone stopped to see and take pictures of him.

I shared with some attendees my husbands intention to use Harvey as a real target when I bring him home. This prompted an instagram campaign to #saveharvey.

Of course I was most excited to share my new patterns using Rustique.
This medallion inspired pattern is named Jackson Hole.
(I'll be posting next week a little bit more about each of my new patterns)

My other pattern in the booth is named Tuacahn. It's my updated version of a lonestar quilt.

Of course the little details in the booth make it interesting and fun.

The Hubs even let me spray paint some old sheds he had laying around the garage.

Remember the sneak peeks from my last post? The matchstick quilting was done on this pillow. Although hard to see in this picture it adds a gorgeous texture.

Pillows are a fun and quick way to add accents. Keep an eye out for that arrow pillow which will be featured in a magazine later on this year!

I also showed off my coordinating thread packs available through Superior Threads.
This thread is so wonderful to sew and quilt with. And the colors are great staples for any thread collection;
Navy, Teal, Green, Orange, Berry and Grey. Each spool contains 550yds of thread.
At a price point of $35 it's affordable to everyone!

I am listing a few bundles in my Etsy shop for only $25. I only have a few. Once they're gone I will relist at the regular price. So get on it now and get yours at a fabulous discount!

HAPPY SEWING!

See ya' in Pittsburgh!

I'm almost ready to go. Most of my projects are done and already on their way. I only have a couple of last minute things to wrap up before heading to market. It doesn't matter how much I try to plan and prep in advance, I always end up working my toosh off up until the very last minute.

If you are headed to Pittsburgh for market I would love to see you. Come see me at the Crazy Old Ladies booth #653 or in my Rustique booth with Michael Miller Fabrics hub in the #546 range.

I can't wait to show you everything when I get back - but I thought I would give you a couple of pics to keep your interest while I'm gone. :)

Do me a favor and work on something fun while I'm gone.

Aurifil Designer of the Month- MAY

Can you believe it's May!? I've been up to my ears in market prep the last few weeks, some days I can't remember what day it is. But I am well aware that market is just around the corner (next week!) and I still have so much to do.

I haven't been good about posting the Aurifil designers each month, but I'm going to start now.

This month's designer is one of my favorite people, ever. Amy Smart is the most genuinely thoughtful and amazingly talented person I know. I'm sure you're already well aware of the quilty goodness over at her blog Diary of a Quilter, but if you've been living under a rock you really must check it out. So many fun tutorials, tips and resources. She really is amazing!

Head over to AURIFIL to read all about Amy's creative journey and to see her block.

I know some of you are following along all ready, but for the rest of you - it's not too late!
These blocks go together so quickly you can get caught up in no time.
