It's too complicated trying to find just hte right colors and with online buying, you are never sure of the exact color...and that takes too long anyway....free indeedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00945613713062219160noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1637590958508818905.post-31986511030419978252009-12-15T09:42:43.720-07:002009-12-15T09:42:43.720-07:00Hi! I would definitely place your patterns on Etsy...it is a great resource for getting your products out to the public.

As for kits, you may want to try a few out before you cut up a lot of fabric. As an alternative, perhaps you want to show some samples of fabrics that the person can choose from (so you don't have to cut into fabric unnecessarily and can give people a range of fabric options). I've seen it done for custom baby crib sets, such as: http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=36624779

Jsut a thought...good luck!Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00507873156335035005noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1637590958508818905.post-70245287946822408342009-12-14T20:15:24.687-07:002009-12-14T20:15:24.687-07:00I like to buy kits because I usually fall in love ...I like to buy kits because I usually fall in love not only with the pattern, but with the colors/fabrics in the photo/sample.

You could always put a note in the shop that patterns can be "kitted upon request".

(provided you had the fabric on hand?)

SheilaCSheilaChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05524906178087552513noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1637590958508818905.post-41685350040758769042009-12-14T20:15:18.653-07:002009-12-14T20:15:18.653-07:00The nice thing about Etsy is that you can tell the...The nice thing about Etsy is that you can tell the purchaser how long you need to get it to them, whether it's one week or two or whatever, so you could say that some fabrics may vary (in case you run out of that fabric), and actually not make any kits until you get an order for them.

Just a thought -- good luck with the decision!smileynannhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12232253319679582635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1637590958508818905.post-64688293199919074712009-12-14T17:37:14.595-07:002009-12-14T17:37:14.595-07:00I love it! Etsy is a great way to showcase your own special flair! I shop a lot of online stores, but find my eyes glazing over after looking at pages and pages of patterns. With Etsy it's easy to focus ;o)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1637590958508818905.post-90272990955115030182009-12-14T14:27:06.000-07:002009-12-14T14:27:06.000-07:00That is a tough decision. Then there are also those who like to choose their own fabrics for the pattern. So, my suggestion would be to sell the patterns but also provide a few kits to start with and see how that goes.Judyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00582314199572228978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1637590958508818905.post-69733928878483203492009-12-14T13:32:30.431-07:002009-12-14T13:32:30.431-07:00I always like to buy patterns directly from the de...I always like to buy patterns directly from the designer...I say add your patterns to your Etsy!Sherrihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17947050490192912888noreply@blogger.com
