CABIN FEVER!!!

Hello Friends!
I am so excited to announce my first ever “Cabin Fever” quilt retreat. It has never been on my bucket list to host a retreat (I'm more of an attendee gal) but I found out about this place and couldn't shake the idea. When an opportunity like this presents itself you just can't pass it up! The other thing you want to do- share it! And that's where YOU come in.

Utah winter’s get long and dreary. Today it's snowing like crazy and beautiful but by the end of February I’ve just had it! Come chase away the winter blues with 3 full days (and 2 NIGHTS!) of sewing bliss: Thursday Feb. 21 thru Saturday Feb. 23. Enjoy the comforts of home in a gorgeous mountain lodge up Hobble Creek Canyon in Springville, UT. All you need to bring is your machine and fabric to sew.

Take a look at this place- it's heaven!

When I walked through this home I just about fainted. I could picture it whiring with machines and covered in fabric scraps and thread. Don't you want to join us!?

I have opened an account at EVENTBRITE to handle the ticket sales. Here's what you can expect when you come to "Cabin Fever":

I wanted to create a very relaxed event that would be enjoyable for everyone. I have decided on an open-sew format. All you need to do is bring your machine and a few projects to work on and come sew. Don't worry I still have a few fun things planned including a trunk show each day from talented local designers (see below), a mini class each day with make-n-takes for you, and fun fabric filled games each night. Your lodging is included as well as all of your meals. And every attendee will recieve a swag bag stuffed with goodies!

For 3 days and 2 nights of "Cabin Fever" sewing fun: $200
For 1 full day (come as early and stay as late as you want): $100

Visit the EVENTBRITE link for all the details. Space is limited so tell your friends and don't wait too long! You're not going to want to miss out out this. :o)

I have asked some of Utah's most talented designers to come and do a trunk show to fill you with inspiration:

Natalia Bonner from Piece and Quilt

and best-selling author of "Beginner's Guide to Free-Motion Quilting"

Amber Johnson of A Little Bit Biased

and designer of Gigi's Thimble quilt patterns.

Kati Spencer- From the Blue Chair

accomplished quilter and pattern designer

I hope you'll be able to join us at "Cabin Fever"
Please feel free to contact me with any question you might have. I'll be posting all of this information under the 'Events' page for easier access.

See you soon!!!

Oh my word! That indeed looks like Heaven! A little far for me as I live in Canada...but if I was closer I would be on this like white on rice! I'm envious of the attendees! It will definitely be fun!

This looks like it would be so much fun! I wish I could make this. We just got back from Spanish Fork for the Holidays though, so another trip so soon is not in the cards. I will be watching for another round though!

Ohhhh I wish I could come! Wish it was a little closer to my home in Oklahoma, or I would be there, because for the first time one of these quilting outings is a very decent price. I've always wanted to go to one. I love making quilts, and even more gathering with others who enjoy the same thing. Have a great weekend!!!
