Right Here- Right Now

Wanna know why I was sad yesterday?

Well, many of you know that while I sit here writing this blog post people are pouring into the convention center in downtown Houston, TX for International Fall Quilt Market. I should be there. But I am not. So I am sad.

Instead of sit in my house and mope last night I decided to do something constructive instead. I called up a few gal/quilter friends and we met for dinner and quilt-talk. Can I just say: "I had a BLAST!" It was so much fun! We talked fabric, design, designers, trends, market, etc., etc. When I left I was on a "high". It was just what I needed. THANKS GIRLS!

Now onto BIGGER things-

Since I can't be at market picking up all of the wonderful new things at 'Sample Spree' I thought I would give away a mini sample to a lucky blogger.

    That was so fun last night! Thanks again! I was thinking it was just like waiting for sample spree except the food was better (good) and we didn't get fabric after (bad). Moda listed their new fabric this morning. It's just the hangtags though, but I assume you got the same email listing the designers' blogs. Nice to see SOMETHING!

    Awww. It's nice that you had good friends to pick up your spirits. I just love that Eva fabric. My favorite combo! I really like the Holiday pattern with the trees. I just love trees. Wouldn't it look super done up in pink & black??!!

    I love the Holiday Lineup and the Ninety Nines patterns, umm, and the eva fabric, i saw that in person the other day for the first time, and omg, it is soo pretty!! i am moping about not being able to go to market, i wish i could, i wish i was that talented! maybe down the road. thanks

    I love the fabrics and several of your patterns. Although I love Holiday Lineup and Whimsey Playground, I've already purchased them. So, if I won, I would pick down under because it is so adorable!!!

    I like the jelly roll alot. I would wat the Which Witch pattern. I think it's so cute. I get to go the Houston Quilt Festival next week and can't wait.

    So glad you got out of your "Am not at Quilt Market" blues. I love this EVA line and I think my favourite quilt pattern right now is the Holiday lineup - it would be useful for this upcoming Christmas season.

    I had a blast last night - and thanks for referring to me as "super seamstress" I don't know about all that, but it's better than "pad lady" :)

    Did you see the table runner that Rachel made over at Moda Bake Shop? I was torn about the grays and reds last night, but now I'm loving them in Rouenneries by French General.

    I am sorry you didn't get to go to the market. I just moved to the Houston area and wanted to go so bad, but we will have house guest the days of the market. It was nice that you got to spend a good evening with friends.

    What a wonderful give away you have here. I love the jelly roll and have had my eye on your postage due pattern...I would be too excited if I won it!

    Ooohh I just love that Eva line. I know I couldn't use it for my favorite pattern (which is Baby Boom) but I'm sure I'd find a good use for it.

    The fabric looks gorgeous! I'm glad you're starting to have a good time. I think my favourite pattern is "Holiday Lineup" but that might be because I'm just scared of the more intricate appliqué pieces.

    I was sure you were at Quilt Market but sounds like your Girl's night out was fun. I would choose Postage Due for a pattern. Although Ninety Nine would be a close second.

    Pumpkin Party, because I love fall and today's my birthday. Snow and all! I think Nana's Attic would be a great pattern to use for the jelly roll, so if I win, I would probably need to get that pattern also.

    I think the Eva line is so cute. What a great giveaway. If I were to choose a pattern it would be the Happy ever after. I have a grandchild who is all girl and thinks she is a princess and would love to make her that quilt. I am glad that you have good friends to be with. When I feel blue I can always turn to my quilting friends and fabrics for a pick me up too.

    Okay so I just got my Whimsy Playground in the mail this weekend! SO freakin excited I can barely stand it...I have a new project to work on for my shop hop this weekend...Now I must have Flutterby. I MUST also finish one project that I have going on...my goodness!
