Lost Treasures

CONTEST NOW CLOSED!
Before I decided to move my sewing room I'd been working on a few projects. Wanna see a sneak peak? I thought you might. It's a good thing I took these pictures before the move- I don't even know where this stuff is anymore! ;o)

A little while ago I got this crazy urge to applique. This is not a future COL pattern- y'all would kill me. But I do think it's going to turn out cool. If you happen to get a certain home decor magazine you may recognize the leafy shape a little. ;o) I show it off when I get it FINISHED!
I can't even stand it- this fabric is SO BEAUTIFUL! I mean, it's 3 Sister's, so why wouldn't it be. But just wait 'til you see 'Martinique' in the flesh/fabric. Oh, it melts me. ;o) I absolutely LOVE the project I'm making but haven't decided if it's another pattern or not. It's more traditional than COL patterns usually are- but I might throw this one in there just to mix it up a bit.

I've also been sewing with a little of this..

And a little of that!

But that's all I can show you for now.

So, how about a giveaway!?
While I was moving all of my STUFF down the hall I came across
14 Fat Quarters of 'Authentic' by Sweetwater for Moda
AND
A Layer Cake of 'Nature's Notebook' by April Cornell for Moda.
Do YOU want it!?
Well, leave me a comment telling me what you wish Santa would bring you for Christmas and on Monday morning sometime I'll pick the winner's.
So far I have 2 prizes shown- but if I find more 'treasures' then I'll pick more winners!
GOOD LUCK!

  18. I have asked Santa for one selfish gift and one not so selfish gift. My selfish gift is a new sewing machine. About to smash mine into tiny bitsy pieces! Could be user error but we'll blame the machine. My not so selfish gift is I have asked Santa (whith a little help from Jesus) to Please remove a brain tumor for lil Kate Mcrae. Her & her family are in my prayers nightly and they could really use some more.

If I won some fat quarters or layer cakes it would make the time go faster in case I've been too naughty for a Santa visit and a time machine, lol! Cindy

We are an Army family so we have spent almost as many Christmases apart as we have together. I f I could be crazy and ask for anything tangible I would love to have some great new cookbooks to make my family some tasty treats. Ohh and a gift card for the commissary so I could buy the ingredients.

  53. I've asked Santa for 6 days of ME time! no kids, not a single phone call asking how much longer until you are back? Just 1 day every 2 months that I can do as I wish - if I want to go to walmart and be there for 3 hours I can... or go to LQS for a class... or even stay at home alone only me in the house for a minimum of 4 hours. Hey hubby can take the kids to the park and out to lunch right???

well, here's to hoping that Santa was really listening to me when I pitched my idea to him.... and if you couldn't tell, I'm a stay-at-home mom of a 5 year old and 2 year old twins - so I REALLY think I deserve this don't you? :P

    Love from Texas! ~bonnie
