Well, here is the firs of 5 new patterns that we have. I absolutely fell in love with this fabric line from the moment I saw it. It's EDEN by Lila Tueller for Moda. I love the spring-y-ness of it. Honestly, my photos do it no justice- you have to see this one in person.
This quilt pattern was one I designed over a year ago and finally found the right fabric for the job. I love how it all blends together and takes your eye a moment to see the pattern. I've done it in more contrasting prints too, and am equally pleased with the results.
At last minute I decided to pull it out of mu 'unfinished' pile and snap a quick pic to show you. I made this one out of a Heather Mulder Peterson line. I think the contrast is striking. (Please forgive the wrinkles)
So, what do you think?
Let me know your opinion of my new pattern and you may just WIN one! :o)
I love the look of this new pattern! I'm thinking I'd like to make the 'background' fabric the zinger fabric and everything else blend..,.possibilies galore!
ReplyDeleteI love the subtle design the white fabric creates. Very fun.
ReplyDeleteOh I love that 2nd one with the contrasting fabrics, it's lovely!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI like both of them but the contrasting one is especially wonderful.
ReplyDeleteI really like your new pattern and think the name of "Secret Garden" so fits the quilt made from the "Eden" fabric.
ReplyDeleteI love the second quilt. It is so beautiful! I just found your blog and can't wait to see what other patterns you have!
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern and the way it makes the striking effect in the second quilt picture. Really, really nice!
ReplyDeletelove it! you're right, it takes a minute to see the pattern, but it's awesome once you do.
ReplyDeleteI especiallly love the last one, love the movement...
ReplyDeleteI love the 2nd top the color are so pretty, Like the first one also and that is a good name for your pattern. It is a pattern you can work with and that is good! Happy Sewing !
ReplyDeleteThis is such an intriquing pattern. I found myself staring intently at the pic to figure out the pattern. Then I read that you might be giving a pattern away and figured if I win the pattern I don't have to give myself a headache trying to figure out this small pic. :-) Take care and God bless, Cory
ReplyDeleteLove, love this new pattern! The color possibilities are endless!
ReplyDeleteLove them both!!! When you look close you see it's a fairly easy pattern to do but the end result makes it looks way more complicated...I love it for that reason and both quilts are very nice!!!
ReplyDeleteIt is a beautiful quilt pattern - both are beautiful quilts. I really like the trip around the world setting, and saw that setting in a log cabin, and this one is even better, much more interesting.
ReplyDeleteI love the subtlety achieved using Eden--that line is so yummy. Using more contrast, like with Heather's fabrics, makes the pattern diamonds really pop. I really like the versatility of your new pattern! Hope you let us see the other real soon :0)
ReplyDeleteYou've outdone yourself! It took me a minute for my eyes to focus and see the pattern. Good blend of spring!! I long for green! I originally thought it was a "new way" to go "around the world". You Rock!!!
ReplyDeleteI ♥ the second design! I just bought a bunch of Chez Moi fat quarters and have been looking for a neat pattern that contrasts with white to make my youngest daughter a quilt....I think this is going to be 'the one'!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pattern! I really like the diamond pattern that gives it a bit of movement. I can't decide whether I like it better in the subtle fabrics or the more striking fabrics. I definitely like the border you chose for the Lila Tueller version - the white bands that extend vertically really appeal to me.
ReplyDeleteThis really is a great pattern...and it is stunning with the Heather Mulder Peterson fabrics!
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern - especially the sample done in Heather's fabrics. Love it! dsb448@att.net
ReplyDeleteI really like your new design, very much. I also love the colors & fabrics you used in both of these quilts. This design certainly lends itself well to a planned pallette and I think it would work well for scraps too.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd love to win one and give this design a try!
