Halloween Preview

The kids are off playing with friends while I scramble to finish packing. I really wanted them to get all dressed up so I could get good pix of them in their costumes before I left. Oh well.

Here's a preview of what my kids will be wearing this halloween:

10 year old boy is going to be 'Hiccup' from the new hit movie "How to Train Your Dragon". It is an AWESOME movie for all ages. If you haven't seen it, go rent it- you won't be sorry.

8 year old boy is going to be the 'Terminator'. We even found a Phantom of the opera mask and painted it silver so he would look half metal.

5 year old girl is going to be a cheerleader. Her costume turned out pretty cute. I wanted to make sure it was affordable so most of it she can wear again. The skirt I made from a pair of pants.
Can't wait to show you all of their costumes when I get back!
Have a fun weekend and sew, Sew, SEW!!! :o)

QUILTS in the shop!

I can't believe it's been over 10 days since my last post! I'm sure my loyal followers are disappointed- all 3 of you! :o)

I have been all kinds of busy. Between Halloween costumes for the kids, doctors appointments, and a ton of 'Market' stuff that I can't really go into right now- I just haven't had a minute to sit and post. In fact, I'm even behind in reading my favorite blogs. Just shows you how little time I've spent on the computer these days.

Anyway, I wanted to let you know I haven't forgotten about you. I hope to post again before I head to Texas (and hopefully while I'm there, too) but before I go I thought I'd leave you with a little treat.

I just added a few items to my Etsy shop. Halloween is just days away and you know what that means- CHRISTMAS is coming. Now I usually have all sorts of grand ideas about making all of my presents but time always runs short. So don't forget to check out the shop for some gifts that you don't have to make! :o) Several quilts have been added including some very popular favorites. And a fun pattern ALWAYS makes a fun stockintg stuffer, too. And if it's YOU that wants the quilt (and I know you do) your hubby will be super excited that all he has to do is click a few buttons and it'll arrive in a couple weeks. Plenty of time for the holidays. If you smile real nice he may even let you have it early! :o)

Talk to you soon!

Typesetters

The other day a friend stopped by to bring me a quilt she'd pieced for me. (Don't worry, you'll get a peek at my new designs soon.) This lady does just about everything. Recently she's started cycling. And I don't mean a little riding. We're talking 30 miles plus! But before that (and currently) she's had an online business that I think is FANTASTIC!
Her Etsy shop April M Designs has been going strong for 3 years- TODAY! (Happy Anniversary!)

Anywhoooo...on with the story.

So, she hands me a little 'present' from her husband's brand new Etsy shop- Typesetters:

Isn't that AWESOME!!!

Here is my not-so-good attempt at getting a picture of me wearing it-thyroidectomy scar and all.

Recently April and her family have been feeling the pains of the economic stress in our Country. Luckily things are starting to look up for them. But it still wouldn't hurt to check out his Etsy shop and peek around. The little charms are SUPER AFORDABLE and would make a great stocking stuffer for a guy or girl! (geez, it's October people- not too early to start thinking about Christmas!)
Thanks TYPESETTERS for the great gift!!!

Sharing Time

Shyla sent me this picture of the CUTEST shirt she made for her recent trip to Disneyland! (*jealous*). And look at that adorabel tu-tu! LOVE IT! Um, I think I'm going to have to 'steal' that idea! Thanks Shyla!

And my friend Penny from 'The Quilted Forest' sent me this pic of her version of 'Diamond in the Rough'. She made this for a soldier that is serving in Afghanistan. They've collected tons of signatures from friends and family on the back. Currently it's in CA getting more signatures then off to the soldier. Isn't that a great idea! LOVE the border!
Do you have pictures of you latest 'Crazy Old Ladies' project? If so, we'd LOVE to have them. Thanks!
