January is a tease.
Some mornings I wake up and I swear it's spring already.
Other mornings I look out the window to a fresh blanket of white.
It's not that I don't like the snow. I do. It's beautiful.
But I don't sled. I don't ski. I don't snowboard.
I don't really do much in the snow except shovel and pray my car doesn't lose traction.
You see, I'm a California girl.
I live for the sunshine. I LOVE for the sunshine.
So now that it's February (even though the sky is so thick right now I can't see the mountains outside my window) I am excited.
If I made it though January I can make it thought February and soon it will be SPRING!
I'm having a gorgeous day in Northern Utah! I can see the blue sky and I'm loving it. I don't like the inversions we get in our valley but I do love the mountains and being able to see them is icing on the cake in the winter! I, like you, am very anxious for spring. I'm not a winter girl even though I was born and raised in this icky mucky weather.
ReplyDeleteI always am happy to greet February that is a short one till March .....and spring! I love the snow too but here in the Netherlands we usually have more rain than snow!
ReplyDeleteI love that train of thought - the LONG month is over and the 'shorty' leads us into Spring. However, February is already growling at us with a 3-day snow drop that is going to be huge. Oh, well, I'm am going to sew, sew, sew.
