I know you want some

THIS CONTEST IT NOW CLOSED!

International Quilt Market is THIS WEEK!

Things around here are nothing less than hectic.

As I was putting the finishing touches on one of the many projects for my booth I had a thought....

When was the last time I had a giveaway? And what better time for a giveaway than now?

So....are you dying to get your grubby little hands on some 'Going Coastal'?

I have a fat quarter bundle (tied with rope!) of every print in the line. And because a fat quarter was just not enough, I put a 1/2 yard each of the Bottle Cap print and the Patchwork Plaid print.

All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me WHY you LOVE this line!? (sorry, I just can't hear enough of it right now!)

I'll pick a winner next monday....after Market.

Good luck to you!

    ReplyDelete
  32. I love anything with crabs on it and yours are some of the cutest I've seen lately. My mother is a cancer survivor and collects crabs so I'm always on the lookout for different crab fabric to sew up into something special for her. This whole design line is beautiful......great job!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I love this line because I love crabs and I am in love with the grey fabrics...reminds me of the lakeshouse in Maine.

  41. I got 3 of 4 quilts finished for my kids for christmas...and now here it is May and my soon to be 5 year old still hasn't been made a quilt! This line would be perfect for him. Pick me and please Help ease my mom guilt :)
I love the colors and that plaid...Just reminds me of fun in the sand!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I have a sister getting married in august and her new last name will be Crabb. What a better gift than a beautiful quilt with your adorable crabs on it!! Also, they will be living in California. Double bonus!

    ReplyDelete
  43. Oh, you know I want some! I grew up with a house at the New Jersey shore, and then spent all of my time in Maryland near the water, but now I live in landlocked southwestern Virginia, where, when we see a boat trailer, wonder, "where the heck are they going to put THAT?" This fabric line makes me homesick for those cool ocean breezes and hot steamed blue crabs drenched in Old Bay. I SWEAR that our beach blanket - which always smelled of salt water and cedar shed, and had at least a bucketfull of sand in it no matter how many times you shook it out - looked just like one of the patchwork plaid prints. I would LOVE this bundle, even though I'm not sure what I would do with it. What a challenge it would be even to cut it up!

    ReplyDelete
  44. I grew up going the upper in Michigan and spending hours at Lake Michigan. Although it is a "lake" and not an ocean, the feelings on the beach are the same. I love the colors and can think of a wonderful picnic blanket I could make with it. I do not have a blog and my email is ctrau48@gmail.com

    Thanks,
    Cheryl

  119. I love "Going Coastal" for three reasons.
The line is actually beachy and screams "road trip!" where as most lines are cheesy and cheap looking.
Secondly, the colors! This line reminds me so much of my grandma because she was a beach/road trip lover and she would always wear these colors. This line is definitely not old lady though ;)
And finally, those sand-dollar prints! They really are a versitile looking fabric...I can see each color in SOOOOOO many quilts!!!!!

Congrats! It's a beautiful, nautical line! And the rope tie is a great touch!!!

The madras plaid reminds me of the preppy clothes we wore and the bottle caps remind me of the snack shacks on the beach! The bottle caps design is one that I do not think many designers would think of - you really have to be a beach bum to recognize this!!

    ReplyDelete

When I was wee, my family would go to the gulf every year to vacation in the summer. There was this well loved quilt that was always our beach blanket. If I won this giveaway I would use it to make a special beach blanket quilt for my family.

Have fun at the show, your fabric looks fabulous.

  143. I love the bottle cap fabric. Thanks goodness for another gender neutral line.

  144. Where do I start! I love the colors first off-I always love brights & you picked the perfect shades of all of them, especially the blues & greens!
I love everything beachy! I live in Hawaii and I'd be in big trouble if I didn't!
Love the plaid, the bottlecaps & the sea kelp the most and would love the whole collection!

  145. Oh my goodness, this line is perfect!!! I am in the process of trying to turn my craft room into a "Cape Cod" room. I want the light, airiness of being on Cape Cod beach.

I love the blues and greens. I may pick a hue out of the fabric for my wall color! Think I might even make myself some Patchwork curtains for this room.

Thank you very much for this opportunity. Peggy.

  146. I live on a Lake right beside the local yacht club. My husband isi a sailor and has been greatly involved in the construction of a new clubhouse. Your fabric is perfect for a quilt for the club and for that matter for many items around my house; curtains, pillows, quilt, potholders, an apron for Michael's (husband) birthday and the list goes on and on. I have been searching for gender neutral beach inspired fabric forever and I have found it in yours - it's a winner - CONGRATULATIONS, I wish you much success with the line.

  147. I grew up with my toes in salty water, and this reminds me of my beachcombing times. The bottlecaps make me think of all the little "tableaux" we made in the sand, out of shells, stones and small things found on the beach.

  148. Such a perfect summertime print! I'd love to make a runner for the picnic table with it.

  149. The colors and the designs have such a clean and bright quality. It is all tremendously appealing!

  150. I love love love your patchwork plaid! I love the whole collection because it is so crisp and has great contrast. Thanks for designing it. :-) jen from atl

  151. Oh my! Only one reason why I love this line? Let's see, I'm a coastal girl, married to a boy from Maryland. Those crabs are perfect for him and the sea stars are perfect for me. And we collect bottle caps. It's like you made the line just for us!!

  152. Yay! a fabric collection that I could make something for my eldest boy out of.

We go to a wee cottage on the north east coast of Scotland every chance we can and both my boys spend the entire time searching for crabs on the rocks.

  153. I think you're on to something here! When I lived on the East Coast, I once found a little lonely fat quarter in the bottom of the bin--but nothing else. I live in Southern California, and again, there is nothing to represent us. Nothing, that is, until now.

While I love it all--the dots (of course), the stars and the kelp (so Northern California!) and those fabulous bottle caps--the grays remind me of our days at the shore. It's the color of the beach just after the sun sets and we're waiting for the traffic to clear so we can go home. We're picking up our beach chairs, shaking out the towels, fighting the gulls for our trash so we can throw it away. We sit on our coolers, soaking up the last of our day at the beach.

I'm heading over to my quilty blog right now to write about it--kudos to you for such a strong collection. (And I hope your cancer is in remission!)

  155. I am always looking for "boy" prints that don't look too young and these are great. Plus I saw the quilt Konda made with it and that finished me.

  156. I absolutely love this collection. I've been in a bit of a funk lately- a lot of drama in my life and I kind of lost my love for everything, including fabric (very unlike me). This is the first line that has made me smile- and I haven't had much to smile about lately.

  157. I love this line cause I have boys and this line is perfect for them especially the plaid.

  159. I was blog hopping when I ended up here. So glad that I did and amazingly enough you're having a giveaway (and it doesn't involve me dancing naked around an oak tree at midnight on the full moon in the third quarter while chanting your blog name.) Thank you.

I've been planning a quilt and looking for the perfect beachy fabric for it. Yours fits the bill splendidly. I'll probably add some stripes too but it'll be beautiful. I'll be on the look out for your fun fabric.

Thanks again for the giveaway. I've got my fingers crossed and will be dreaming away.

(My word verification is 'lubity'. lol)

  177. I love this line because of the gray! And I need a picnic blanket to take to the beach for picnics while watching the sunset!

    ReplyDelete
  178. I love that the fabric is not too busy, the single graphic for each fabric is far more effective than trying to cram too much in. I especially love the sea kelp.

    ReplyDelete
  179. LOVE this line! There was nothing "boyish" out when I was making a quilt for my son that would still work for him when he was a teen so I had a really tough time coming up with something....how I wish this line had been around then. I see Boy's nursery or bedroom written all over it!
