I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday. We sure did. With all the prep I didn't post as much as I had planned this week but a promise is a promise.
WENDY (gracerose172) is the winner for this week!
Remember, I'm picking one random comment from the posts of the week to receive a Crazy Old Ladies patterns. So don't forget to comment. You could be next weeks winner!
I'm not a coffee drinker but I love my Hot Cocoa. Toast some marshmallows for a delicious twist on an old favorite. It was so tasty but now I need to go get some more marshmallows and there's no way I'm setting foot anywhere near any stores today.
Are you a Black Friday shopper?
I prefer to stay home and sew!
WoooHoo!!!!I'm thrilled to be chosen this week's winner and ... toasted marshmellows?? Brilliant! Not just for the smores and more ... gonna have to try that in my hot chocolate! Thank you so much Emily for your generosity! Best wishes, Wendy
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to Wendy!
ReplyDeleteHow fun is that! Congrats to Wendy. And I love your mug :-) We did head out for a bit of shopping. Nothing crazy, and not battling crowds!
ReplyDeleteCongrat's Wendy! I never thought of toasting the marshmallows for hot choc but now you have me wanting to try it! Yum!
ReplyDeleteI live in Canada, but it seems the stores have all been cashing in on the U.S. Black Friday and I never saw such a zoo at the grocery store today. If I would have known, I would have rather stayed home and sewed today too, but we are celebrating a birthday this weekend, so.....
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely idea - toasted marshmallows in Hot Cocoa! Love the Mug!!
I so need that cup!!! ;)
ReplyDeleteMy girls love to shop and they are out there every Black Friday! I can usually expect them to call because they have found another "perfect" gift for someone on our lists. They buy it and then I pay them back. I get the advantage of Black Friday sales but no crowds. Win-win! kathleendotlutzatcomcastdotnet
ReplyDeleteLove the cup too, but am a coffee person. Black Friday used to be a fun experience until the Bar kept getting raised. Now I'm with you, This old Lady rather be Quilting!
ReplyDeleteGlad we do not have such a thing as black Friday over here! Love your mug, looks delicious chocolat with marshmallows!
ReplyDeleteWe have one store that we always go to because they have all their socks on half price. It has become our tradition and it is very rare that we go to any other stores.
ReplyDeleteThe only place I went on Black Friday was the dollar store and a sporting goods store. Both are located away from all the crazy shoppers.
ReplyDeleteI love hot chocolate too!
My husband and I ventured out to JoAnns and Petsmart for Black Friday. Then it was home to our sons who are visiting. The commercialism of Christmas has been getting worse and worse these last couple of years. The older I get, the more I stay away from it.
ReplyDeleteI've been having a cup of hot chocolate almost every day! My favorite for cold/cooler days.
I try to stay home on Thanksgiving weekend. I don't like the crowds. :-)
ReplyDeleteLove to stay home! Yummy looking toasted marshmallows!
ReplyDeleteO my that cocoa looks delicious!!
ReplyDeleteI wouldn't go shopping on Black Friday if you paid me to. I do buy some online stuff....but I wouldn't stand in line and fight fellow shoppers for love nor money!
ReplyDeleteLove hot chocolate
ReplyDeleteLove hot chocolate
ReplyDeleteI usually do go Black Friday shopping but not this year and was sooo happy not to fight the crowds!
ReplyDeleteI was trying to figure out what you had on top of your drink. Marshmallows. My kids always enjoyed them but I only like them toasted. But you toasted yours for your drink. Great idea.iwill have to try that.
ReplyDeleteI just moved to Northern Canada and it is COLD! I'm drinking tons of hot chocolate. I'll definitely be using this toasted marshmallow idea soon. Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI'm a Black Friday shopper online only! We have our major discount sales the day after Christmas in Australia.
