Fun-Size Quilts BLOG HOP!

Hey there, thanks for stopping by on the blog hop!

For the longest time I couldn't understand why people would make mini quilts. The idea just baffled me. And then I got the opportunity to design on for this book and I totally get it now. They are so fun, quick and easy and the design options are endless!

I am so fortunate to be among some of my favorite designers in this book.

My mini- "Skyline" -features fabrics from my stash as well as several prints from my Technicolor fabric collection for Michael Miller Fabrics.

Do you want to win an e-version of this fun book for your self? All you have to do is visit the Martingale blog and then hop along to the rest of the designers on the blog hop to have a look at their quilts (you can enter to win an ebook on each of their blogs). Then come on back here and leave a comment telling me which is your favorite (it doesn't have to be mine!)

It could be-

"Hedgehog Heyday" from Cheri Leffler

or "My Little Garden" by Jackie White

or "Fox in a Box" by Jeni Baker

or any of the others- there's 19 different fun-size quilts!

Can't wait to see which one you choose! Contest will run through July 30th.

HAPPY SEWING!

I have to say that all the mini quilts are wonderful. I think the hedgehog is my favorite, but I'm excited about making all of them.

I love the hedgehog, but would love to make the patchwork one from JayBird Quilts, all those, teeny, tiny, bitty pieces..... What fun....

I love them all, but I have never made a hedgehog - how cute.

My favourite - it has been hard to choose there are 5 I love - I am mad about pinwheels right now so I guess Sunshine would be my #1 favourite - also love the hedgehog.

I'd like to make a bunch of these quilts! I'd start with the one with the improv triangles because it is different than anything I have done before.

That would be really hard to pick just one when I really fell in love with all of them. Thank you for giving me the chance to win a copy of Fun Size Quilts. I know that I will enjoy this book so much.

Although I love your mini quilt, my favorite is Heather Valentine's with the applique flowers. I want to make one just like it!

Hedgehog Heyday is catching my attention. But I do have to say that when I saw your quilt, I immediately thought of skyscrapers. And then, you called it a skyline. I guess I'm not totally lacking in are perspectives.

They are all good. I'd like to make My Little Garden first though.

I like Fox in the Box, and I want to make yours, too. I have several vertical strip quilts pinned on Pinterest: that type of design always calls me. It never occurred to me to do one as a mini! I think it will work well, though, because then you can see the whole design as a complete piece, rather than rumpled and folded the way my bed quilts always end up.

I like the To Do List quilt. It's sew cute. Thanks for the giveaway.

Anne D said...

I love them all but would make fox in a box first. Actually would make 2 as I have twin nieces.

All of the minis are great. I too had to get why quilters made minis. They are fun sample size quilts.

There are at least six quilts in this book I'd like to make for myself, and others for friends. I think I'd start with white stars; I don't think I'd like it full size, but it looks so cute as a mini!

I can see making any one of these quilts, but I would start with Julie Herman's White Star mini, thinking of using Christmas prints in the background and my white has white snowflakes on it. Thanks for the give away!

"Sunshine" is calling my name since it reminds me of my family reunions from when I was a young girl. My two cousins would play their accordions while the rest of the family members sang "You are my sunshine...."
