In Bloom

Most of you won't even blink an eye looking at this post. But to the few, faithful followers out there you will notice something different. The "In Bloom" quilt that was posted here a few days ago is gone. In it's place is something much more fun.

This idea came to me two nights ago. I woke up yesterday morning and rushed to the store to buy the fabric. I sewed it up yesterday afternoon. Seriously, it was so easy. I am SO excited about this quilt. It was made with 10" squares which makes it 'layer cake' friendly. I'm already planning on making it again in a different fabric.

Are you ready? Well, here it is-

Now this quilt is ready for Spring!

So fun! I haven't seen any of the "layer cakes" in our quilt shops. Is going through a quilt shop the only way to purchase a pattern?

This is absolutely adorable and might just have to be my first attempt at a quilt. I've made two quilted diaper bags so far (been sewing since January!) and would love to make something girly just for me! I'm thinking Lila Tueller Soiree or Chez Moi Swanky!
