I'm on Moda Bake Shop!

To help celebrate my debut on Moda Bake Shop I am having a contest!

Here are the rules:

First- See if you can name each fabric line and designer from the 'scraps' pictured below. There are lines from the past, present, and near future. This might be challenging- but it's not impossible.

(to be fair I will tell you that a couple of these 'piles' had a few extra pieces mixed in- but the MAJORITY of the fabrics came from one line. You have to name that line.)

Second- Write a post on your blog about Crazy Old Ladies "Scrap Bag-Baby" being on Moda Bake Shop. (don't forget the links!)

Third- Leave a comment on my blog with your answers numbered and a link back to your blog.

This is how I will choose the winner:

Whoever gets the answers right to the quiz will win. If there are lots of people that get all the answers right then I will enter all their names and pick a random winner.

Here's what you'll win:

A Moda 'Scrap Bag'; 5 fat quarters from a 'new' moda line; and MY jar of fabric selvages.

The contest will run through Aug. 28th. I will pick the announce the winner on Aug. 29th.

Here are the pictures:

  3. I swear I bought one of your patterns that I'm working on right now! I'll have to go up and look at it after work. I've kind of did a quick scan of your blog and will definitely be back after work to try to join in the contest and see what other fun things you have. I'm going to add you to my blog roll! I'm glad I found you at the Moda Bake Shop! Cindy

  5. Congratulations on your debut on Moda. What an accomplishment to celebrate.

I have blogged about you on my blog (http://sewcalgalcontestinfo.blogspot.com/) to share insights on contests & give-aways.

As far as your challenge for naming the fabric collections & designers for the 8 photos, I'm the type that just knows I like/dislike. I wish I could tell a fabric collection name and designer on sight, but I can't remember names of songs either. Still, this is a fun idea.

I'm sure whomever wins will enjoy your prizes. I know I would.

  15. Thank you so much for this contest, I loved trying to solve it. It took me a lot of time and 3 large online webshops to identify all 8, and I'm still not sure about nr. 4, could be the fabric I recognised is an 'extra' in another line.

  16. Just found your blog today via Moda Bake Shop and put you on my Bloglines. I wish I could win, but I have no clue on the fabrics. The last picture#8 has the biggest piece of fabric to go on and most of the commenters above seem to agree on Neptune. I wouldn't know. But I'm sure it's a fun contest for folks who can figure it out. :)

  19. I'm so out of the loop on most of these, but the web helps. No fabric buying for me (unemployed) so I'm crossing my fingers and toes. Will post to my blog here in a bit. www.everydaycrafting.com

I printed off your pattern for the Moda Scrap Bag and even took out my scrap bag. My scraps are all 5" dessert roll pieces. There are two fabrics in my scrap bag, Glace and Cherry Cherry. I love the easy fun way to put the strips together for a fast laptop quilt. I will post about this contest on my blog. Thanks for the challenge for the fabric names.
