I kinda cheated when putting this top together. I knew I wanted a wonky layout- but once I started playing I didn't want to take the time to piece them all. So....I put a large piece of white fabric up on the wall and pinned the blocks to it. Then I zig-zag stitched around all of them to attach them to the background. I have to admit that halfway through stitching those blocks on I was really kicking myself thinking "Why did I do this? I ruined all these cute blocks!" However, once I finished and started quilting I knew it was going to become one of my favorite quilts EVER!
I even did my first real pieced back. Take a look:
That bottom piece is an Amy Butler print that I just LOVE. I bought it orginally thinking I would use it to make a skirt or something. Then I came to my senses. At one time I was going to make a different quilt out of all those pinks and oranges and this fabric would've been the border. So glad I did this instead.

This might be one of my favorite's of your quilts - so bright and sunny! Love the wonky piecing of the blocks on the white - continues the fun layout wonderfully.
Very pretty quilt! Love the back, too & your quilting gives me ideas to try!! thanks!
I love that quilt!! Great colors and I like the idea of putting it on the white fabric. I also like the way you quilted it.
Awesome quilt, front and back equally appealing. Fun!!
It's so pretty! Two quilts in one. The quilting is amazing!
Love it Emily! Turned out super cute. Everyone is going to ooooh and ahhhh at quilt group. Thanks for letting us do something with your cute fabric :)
I love this color combination - so cheerful and happy.
Sometimes we do things thinking it will be easier and it isn't always so.
Happy National Quilt Day!
VERY neat!!!!
Oh how fun to see how it turned out!!! I love it!
It is lovely. The name is perfect.
I need to do something orange. It's time to make a blanket for the two year old. This one, I really like, but it's girly. I like the sunkissed line. My brain is a frenzy with ideas.
