Lost Treasures

CONTEST NOW CLOSED!
Before I decided to move my sewing room I'd been working on a few projects. Wanna see a sneak peak? I thought you might. It's a good thing I took these pictures before the move- I don't even know where this stuff is anymore! ;o)

A little while ago I got this crazy urge to applique. This is not a future COL pattern- y'all would kill me. But I do think it's going to turn out cool. If you happen to get a certain home decor magazine you may recognize the leafy shape a little. ;o) I show it off when I get it FINISHED!
I can't even stand it- this fabric is SO BEAUTIFUL! I mean, it's 3 Sister's, so why wouldn't it be. But just wait 'til you see 'Martinique' in the flesh/fabric. Oh, it melts me. ;o) I absolutely LOVE the project I'm making but haven't decided if it's another pattern or not. It's more traditional than COL patterns usually are- but I might throw this one in there just to mix it up a bit.

I've also been sewing with a little of this..

And a little of that!

But that's all I can show you for now.

So, how about a giveaway!?
While I was moving all of my STUFF down the hall I came across
14 Fat Quarters of 'Authentic' by Sweetwater for Moda
AND
A Layer Cake of 'Nature's Notebook' by April Cornell for Moda.
Do YOU want it!?
Well, leave me a comment telling me what you wish Santa would bring you for Christmas and on Monday morning sometime I'll pick the winner's.
So far I have 2 prizes shown- but if I find more 'treasures' then I'll pick more winners!
GOOD LUCK!

Humm haven't really had any time to give it any thought. I'll take anything quilt or sewing related though. I can't wait to see your finished projects.

I never really want anything for Christmas as I enjoy the "giving" part so much more. I guess you could call that my "gift."

I love the Authentic fabrics...they're wonderful, aren't they? How can you possibly bear to part with them>

Laura said...

oh my, I would pretty much die for that fat quarter stack of authentic! I asked Santa for some new sewing scissors!

Kat said...

Wow, I would love to have either of those! I want Santa to bring me a walking foot for my sewing machine. On a less literal note, if Santa could help me find a warm, loving home for a certain sweet stray kitty I've been feeding I'd appreciate it and I know he would too.

Barb said...

I know I just won a giveaway with you...which was amazing but I could not just come and not comment. I love what you are working on...and all of this and all of that.....I truly love your blog and for Christmas all I want is to see my boys....

I have asked santa for a fold away sewing table as sitting on the floor sewing is really starting to ache. Those fabrics are gorgeous, I'd love either. Thanks so much for the chance to win.

I asked Santa for a new pair of good scissors and the letter of acceptance into the college my DD wants to go too...it would make for a very happy Christmas around here! Of course fabric is always welcomed too!
wishing you a wonderful Holiday.

I have asked for a Cricut. I have dropped many a hint to Santa, but my chances are slim, I'm afraid!

What a wonderful giveaway - thank you! I always wish for more time, but I know that can never happen, so fabric is my next most wished for item on my Christmas list. - Marlene

I asked for a white picket fence around my flower garden for my birthday this summer...it hasn't happened yet so i'm putting it on my Christmas wish list. Actually, I got a new Bernina earlier this year so I don't need another thing! Would love to win those fat quarters.

I asked Santa for a healthy baby grandson and fat quarters to make him a great quilt!

I have asked Santa for one selfish gift and one not so selfish gift. My selfish gift is a new sewing machine. About to smash mine into tiny bitsy pieces! Could be user error but we'll blame the machine. My not so selfish gift is I have asked Santa (whith a little help from Jesus) to Please remove a brain tumor for lil Kate Mcrae. Her & her family are in my prayers nightly and they could really use some more.

angela said...

I don't know what got into me, but I'd love a telescope. My entire family would enjoy it! Oh, and it's the only thing not sewing related on my list. LOL!!!

Mandy said...

I really want a go-cutter but I think I'm settling on a new olfa lol!

I'd love to have something new to cut into too!!!

Laura said...

I'd really like a new sewing machine but would settle for a new motor for my old singer touch n sew. And I'd really like to get those Authentic fat quarters because I'm currently working on a quilt with that collection. I can't get enough of it.

I'm wishing for a time machine from Santa. Just a little time machine that will take me two years into the future when my boy will be home from his mission for our church (he leaves in 5 days). If I won some fat quarters or layer cakes it would make the time go faster in case I've been too naughty for a Santa visit and a time machine, lol! Cindy

I would love peace of mind weather we should move or not. We have only lived here for 2 years and the thought of moving again is just scary. On a lighter note, I would love lots and lots of fabric to play with, that would be fun!!
Thanks for sharing your fabric. I hope I can add it to my small stash.

Those pics are such a tease! Dear Santa, I really need a new robe. I'd like it to be snuggly and warm. If you don't have any already made, you can just send a bunch of pink chenille fabric instead. Thanks, Barby ;o)

Santa could bring me charm packs, jelly rolls and fat quarters! I did put on my list a Kona Color Chart, a Mini Iron and attachments and more bobbins!

I do not want much from Santa this year. I have a great family and we are together and that is what is important to me. We are an Army family so we have spent almost as many Christmases apart as we have together. I f I could be crazy and ask for anything tangible I would love to have some great new cookbooks to make my family some tasty treats. Ohh and a gift card for the commissary so I could buy the ingredients.

Beverly said...

I really wish Santa would bring me some of the Figgy Pudding line or the Authentic Line ... really - not because that's one of the giveaways! My LQS was having a 25% sale today, but didn't have either line :( Please, Santa ... I've been good! :)

Kim @ Life of a Modern Mom said...

Love the fabric! I asked for a new iron, I am in desperate need due to an applique accident. Goo Gone can only clean stick off an iron so well. :)

Chris said...

I've asked for The Pioneer Woman Cooks: Recipes from an Accidental Country Girl... and it's on the way (along with what we ordered for my husband, we wanted to take advantage of free shipping!)
Some fabric would be nice as well of course!

oh my goodness!!!
those authentic fat quarters are SO calling my name.

what i really want for christmas is...

that's not too much to ask, right???
lol.

I've asked Santa for 6 days of ME time! no kids, not a single phone call asking how much longer until you are back? Just 1 day every 2 months that I can do as I wish - if I want to go to walmart and be there for 3 hours I can... or go to LQS for a class... or even stay at home alone only me in the house for a minimum of 4 hours. Hey hubby can take the kids to the park and out to lunch right???

well, here's to hoping that Santa was really listening to me when I pitched my idea to him.... and if you couldn't tell, I'm a stay-at-home mom of a 5 year old and 2 year old twins - so I REALLY think I deserve this don't you? :P

Love from Texas! ~bonnie

Oh yes, for Christmas; my son-in-law is currently interviewing at five different hospitals. For Christmas I would like him and my only daughter to choose a location that is closer than the 1500 miles from us that they are now. I miss her so much.
Thanks for having this sweet give away!

I think I'll get the washer/dryer :) :) :)
